A pilot kite with a 50cm cell carrys the line. It flies approx. 15m in front of the train. Fixed to the line are conical stopps with from bottom to top increasing diameters. The stopps are 5m apart.
The train kites rise at the tensioned line, hold on the line by a „nose ring” with a pulley. A ring at the bridle point ist pulled over the stopps until it reaches it matching stopp. In this way, it is possible to bring one kite after another into the train, until enough pull is reached. All the parts are made by the Steinmüller Förderzentrum Gummersbach für Aus- und Weiterbildung gGmbH.

The system, in this early state without an lifter kite, was flown first on Fanö Kitefliers Meeting in 2005.
I have made a short video from the start of the second train kite. It has a very poor resolution, but my camera did not better! My special thanks goes to Jürgen (Petzy), who added the title and removed the ugly sound from the movie.
